Website Operations Assistant


Job Purpose:

The Website Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the development of new websites and ensuring the smooth operation of existing ones. This role involves managing and uploading digital content, contributing to the creation of new sites under guidance, and maintaining existing websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the New Website Project Manager in the development of new websites, contributing to site layout, design choices, and content organisation.
  • Upload, manage, and optimise digital content on our websites, ensuring it aligns with user experience and SEO best practices.
  • Regularly update existing website content, layouts, and plugins following company procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor website functionality, identify any issues or areas for improvement, and report these to the New Website Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and design, to ensure all web content aligns with broader company strategies and campaigns.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our website platforms to effectively manage and adapt to changes or updates.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, or a strong understanding of website content management and basic website development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on project teams and contribute to new website development. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all content is accurate, up-to-date, and presented in a professional manner.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and user-experience design.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress.
